Compare two texts and see every change
Paste two texts, or pick two files, and see what changed: side by side, as a unified diff like GitHub's, or word by word inside each line, the best view for prose and configuration.
Free, no account, and nothing is uploaded: everything is compared in your browser.

Questions
Can it ignore whitespace?
Yes. Trailing whitespace is ignored by default, and you can also ignore all whitespace, case, blank lines and line endings.
Which layout should I use?
Side by side for comparing structure, unified for reviewing code as on GitHub, and word by word for prose, where a line changes by one or two words.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Kotej runs entirely in your browser: files are read on your device and compared there. Nothing is sent to a server, which is also why it works on confidential configuration, customer data and production logs.
Is it free?
Yes, free and with no account. There is also a native macOS app with the same engine, for comparing folders straight from Finder: Kotej on the Mac App Store.
